Going to the Birds Last week I was curious as to whether or not the birds I thought I saw fighting with a cardinal were indeed blue jays or not. They didn't look nearly as big as the jays back in Maine (and those were probably so big because everyone on our street, myself included, were feeding them!), and I just wasn't sure what exactly they were. So I tossed out some peanuts (they love peanuts) one afternoon last...

Vacation! Technically, this is the very first vacation that we have ever taken as a family. Sure we've had the long weekend here or there, but it's usually revolved around a trip back here to Maine to take care of the house...a house which now technically the court has finally granted a foreclosure to the bank (while the case again Bank of America for more than $14K that we paid in mortgage modification payments remains somewhere...
