The Non-Post Where I Announce a $100 VISA Gift Card Giveaway, and Swear. A Lot!

Never ever ever try to cut and paste written comments from Facebook into a Typepad blog text field (if you're unfortunate enough like I am to still be blogging on Typepad!) because you will royally screw the formatting for the ENTIRE blog post, then you'll end up kicking your foot against something hard, which will then result in a stream of expletives, which then means you're digging around your purse and under the couch cushions for change because you have to put a dollar in the "Swear Jar" every time you cuss, and then because you can't find $5 you start to pull  your hair out, and it's all just a no good, very bad, awful, terrible, situation. Oh and it causes run-on sentences. 

Oh and you'll also have to end up retyping the whole entire post, plus re-upload the photos, into a new draft post (and you can't copy it over because to do so would be spreading the virus of the last post into the new post and it just becomes a massive "Groundhog Day" type scenario except without Bill Murray and Andi McDowell) because by cutting and pasting from Facebook you have pretty much made the current draft post totally and completely useless due to weird formatting kinks.

That m'dears is why you have this mass of words that don't really entertain you, or inform you, well other than to tell you, don't fucking copy stuff from your Facebook wall into a Typepad draft post because it's bad, OK?   There, I guess you did learn something after all.   Oh and there goes another $20 into the Swear Jar.   Around here it's $1 for each for "damn" and "hell", then it gets jacked up to $10 for "shit", and for the the mother of all expletives Gaby has decreed that we shall drop $20 per "F-Bomb" into the jar.    At this point I'm not saving for her college education because I'm too damned busy putting money in that stupid jar!   There goes another dollar!   At the rate I'm going she'll be able to afford Yale or Harvard with all the cash that gets shoved into that thing!  

The silly thing is, my original post wasn't anything special.  It was pretty much fluff and nonsense but I was going to include a giveaway with it.   So, I figured, what the hell, (oopsie daisy, there goes another dollar!  Maybe I shoud just take Gaby on a tour of Harvard now so that way she can see what all my swearing is netting her.) why not just go ahead with the giveaway anyhow.  

Speaking of Harvard, here's a nice picture of Meg creeping around Harvard Hall back in 2008 when she had her interview and tour down there.   Sadly, I had not used nearly enough expletives back then to be able to afford to send her to Harvard.   

So, would you like a $100 VISA gift card?    All you have to do is leave a comment on this post, and then if you'd like another entry you can tweet the link to this post and make sure you copy me @Barking_Mad.    See, that's all there is to it.   Monday morning when I crawl out of bed (roughly 11AM) I'll come out here and tally up all the entries and use the Random Number Generator thingy to pick a winner.    Check the blog around noon on Monday 2/18/13 to see if you're the lucky winner.    I wish the dollar amount on the card could be a lot bigger, alas, we have not won PowerBall yet.

If my husband had to put that kinda money in a swear jar every time he swore, we'd be all caught up on bills and have money for lots of extras! Shoot...we could probably do that with a QUARTER jar for swear words! LMBO! Yes, he's pretty bad (and I hate it).
