First of all, thank you to everyone who took the time to enter. Thanks for spending any time at all out here, getting to know me and our little family, and for your really nice comments, emails, and tweets.
I'm going to be doing this again in the next 6-8 weeks. I think however I'm going to break up the cash prize though so that more people can get a chance to win something. I also have some other giveaways lined up, again, they aren't sponsored, it's just stuff I've found and really liked and I'd love to give the artists/designers/creators whatever sort of a shout-out I can by holding a giveaway.
Originally I was going to video Gaby drawing a winner out of the hat (literally) but she had ants in her pants and wanted to get back outside this morning where a huge brand new bucket of sidewalk chalk is waiting for her, with bright blue sunny skies overhead and warmer temperatures, who am I to stop her? When you're 7, that's way more important than helping mom out with a "Silly blog thing!" So basically she reached in, picked the winner, threw the little folded piece of paper on the chest in the front room and bailed, at which point the cat (of course, because it's always the cat, in one way or another, who gets involved!) took over and decided that the small folded piece of paper needed to be captured and killed, immediately!
The winner only narrowly escaped a chewy, claw-ey, wet death. And now I'm sporting a set of brand new claw marks on my left hand due to rescuing said winner from the claws of death . . .
Once I had the little piece of paper safely in my now-bandaged hands, I took it and all the other little hundreds of pieces of folded paper far away from Geronimo, put him into Gaby's room and closed the door (oh my goodness! The wailing and mewling that ensued would lead a person to believe we were torturing the poor cat by making him walk on Legos barefoot!) and proceeded to find out exactly who the lucky winner was! As I'm typing this, Geronimo is outside with Gareth and Gaby . . . on the leash. Geronimo is on the leash that is. Just wanted to clarify that. And yes, we do put the cat on a leash from time to time, and take him for a walk. Stop looking at me like that!
Now where was I? Oh yeah, the winner . . .

Maureen from Wisconsin Mommy!!!
Congratulations, Maureen!
I want to thank each and every one of you for taking the time to not only come out here and enter the contest, and tweeting, or writing about it, but for spending time out here, listening to me rant, rave, or just bare my soul in a way that sometimes comes across as very raw. I tend to not ever hold anything back out here, and I'm so grateful for the folks that have always been here, offering support, love, and encouragement. It means more to me than you guys will ever know.
I hope you all have a very blessed Easter, Passover, or if you don't participate in any sort of Spring holiday, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! The next time you guys hear from me, I should be writing from a place with a whole lot of indigo blue in the background *wink wink*.
Happy Easter Audrey!! Wishing you and your family a wonderful weekend. SO glad you're heading home!!!
Congratulations Maureen :)
